September the 19th 2002 arrived dry and bright to help us celebrate the raising of our Eco Centre Green Flag.

A host of invited guests gathered by our flagpole, including children from Hay on Wye, Clyro and Grove schools.

The guest of honour was Adam Dumbleton, the National Trust's youth representative at the South African World Environment summit.

After the flag was raised and unfurled in a very helpful gust of wind (the environment was definitely on our side), all the participants were treated to a Green lunchtime feast. After the feast the groups moved to Broadhaven beach for environmentally themed sand sculptures and swimming.
